Want a fun, easy and very creative to decorate the birthday cake for your child?
Here's a great idea that is a unique approach to decorating your child's birthday cakes.
My wife found an article published in April 2007 issue of FamilyFun magazine that gives creative examples and instructions on how to use candy to your child's special cake come to life.
Start using your imagination.
Imagine a picture or a scene or something that represents the theme of your child of the parties. Or think about what your child likes. A pet, poultry, fish, rainbows, cars, dolls, pirates, a princess, a movie favorite books, or?
Now get a pencil and paper and make a sketch of the image you have in mind. By the way, that will create the image flat against the icing on the cake, so think about what color your icing needs to be what will complement your image.
Now think about how you can put together your image or scene with candy every day. You know - licorice, colorful candies, fruit roll ups, candy sticks, Gummy Bears, Tootsie Rolls and even candy bars. Of course, you want to include some of your child's favorite candy.
You can also use foods like raisins and nuts.
And you can add your own creative flare by using edible cake decorations such as brightness, sprays or aerosols.
All it takes is for you to think creatively.
