Making the Perfect Birthday Cake | Perfect Birthday Cake

Posted by Unknown at 3:08 AM
Each of us has had the birthday of someone special influence on us and we do not know what to do for them. The easy answer is to go to the grocery store and quickly buy a generic cake with "Happy Birthday" written on it by the employee of the grocery store that does not care. Do not fall into that trap. It takes very little time to make your own cake at home with really no specialized equipment. If you have an oven, a bowl and mix the basic ingredients that you can make a spectacular flavor cake look as good or better than any cake you can buy at the grocery store.

Start with a basic white cake recipe. You might think that you need to get a cake mix and you're doing yourself, but really the basics of making a pie is so simple that you should not consider cake mix box as an alternative. A basic white cake recipe consists of only 9 ingredients. Everyone probably has the ingredients at home so there is no need to go to the store.

First you need flour. Sure, the cake would make a better cake. The difference between cake flour and regular flour, the amount of gluten in the flour. Gluten is the protein in the flour. If there is a lower protein content, flour is a finer texture. You can use your flour for a cake. Going to be fine. It can be a little more difficult than if made with cake flour, but your average Joe will not know.

Milk. My basic white cake recipe calls for whole milk. The fat in whole milk will make the mouth feel of the cake if they do better than 2 per cent but does not have to go out and buy whole milk if you have a 2 percent at home. Just use and will be okay

Egg white. You have to separate the yolks from the whites. Just break the egg and let the whites drip into a cup and catch them. If you happen to drop some yolk in there, pull it with a spoon and move on.

The almond and vanilla extracts. You can get by with a basic white cake either. Almost everyone has vanilla at home so if you do not have almond extract so do not worry.

Sugar. What I can say, sugar is sugar.

Baking powder and baking soda. You'll have these at home if you do any type of cooking. If the yeast is not fresh your cake will not rise so high, but will remain passable.
