There are many occasions that call for fireworks, flares and other consumer class. Independence Day is a big, birthday parties, graduations and graduations, and if you're like my family anytime we have guests over to take a few boxes of 13 "wood sparklers handled. The fun is the intention even security is a key factor in all situations of fireworks. Even sparklers can cause burns and fires. So here are some tips to keep you, your family and friends of security when using sparklers and other small fires artificial.
1. Always supervise young children. Children often do not realize that the flare is often hot and dump the business end of a flare in someone or something. Years ago I had a dog nicknamed Sparky for the same reason!
2. Outdoor outdoor outdoor. Use all fireworks outdoors ALWAYS. There are indoor birthday cake sparklers burning "cool" or have little or no rain, smoke or ash, but check, check again, and triple check that the flare you have can be used indoors.
3. Put all the flare passed wooden handles or wire, in one place so as not to leave on the ground for someone to step on and either get a burn or impaled. A burn is probably going to provoke tears and a bag of ice, but if someone walks on a wire that could be a trip to the ER for a tetanus booster. It is a fun way to end a summer picnic.
